If you go to a\nsleep center, the price could be anywhere from $500 to $3,000. On the other\nhand, in-home sleep tests tend to be less costly with a range of $300 to $600. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Will My Insurance Help Pay for a Sleep Study?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have health insurance, it could dramatically lower\nyour out-of-pocket costs for your sleep study. Ideally, the provider of the study\n(whether in-center or at home) should be in-network with your carrier; some\ninsurance companies won\u2019t cover out-of-network treatments at all, but they may\nprovide 100% coverage if you stay in-network! You should also consider whether\nyou\u2019ve met your deductible for the year, as this can also affect your ultimate\nout-of-pocket costs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that different insurance companies have\ndifferent policies. In some cases, they may deny in-center sleep testing in\nfavor of a home test. (This is typically a cost-saving measures, as home tests\nare usually less expensive and are usually enough to accurately diagnose sleep\napnea.) It\u2019s important to check with your insurance company as well as the test\nprovider ahead of time so that you have an idea of what benefits you\u2019re\nentitled to and can plan accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is Sleep Testing Worth It?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you choose not to undergo a sleep study, you risk letting\nsleep apnea go undetected and untreated; this could eventually lead to severe consequences\nfor your heart, your brain, and the rest of your body. The cost of a sleep test\nwill be well worth it if it leads to a treatment that keeps you breathing\neasily during the night.
